MDP's Presidential Candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih promises to set up loans and financial assistance through government schemes for carpenters.
He made this pledge while speaking at Raa Atoll Innamaadhoo on a campaign trip today.
President Solih said that his administration has been working to establish basic services on islands neglected by previous administrations and in the last five years his government has been successful in achieving this.

Noting that Innamadhoo was an island with many carpenters, President Solih said that the economy of the island plays a huge role in its development and the carpenters face hurdles in their line of work. He added that he would introduce loans and financial assistance schemes for these workers.
President Solih detailed that he plans to offer them assistance through existing governmental schemes.
He noted that the island's carpenters have requested land from near the island for fiber work and that they are concerned that this issue remains unresolved.
President added that he would see that this issue is resolved soon.
He also promised to build the office for the school as well as additional facilities to the building. He further promised to build a youth center for indoor sports and build row houses to ease the island's housing concerns.
