MDP Presidential Candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solihs says his administration has created 60,000 jobs in this term alone.
He made the remarks while speaking at a campaign rally in Noonu Landhoo.
The President said that previous presidents have boasted that they created 80,000 jobs and 100,000 jobs and he did not want to boast like them.
But he said that looking at the data from the pensions office, it is evident that more than 20,000 jobs have been created in the 5 years under this administration.
The President was mostly referring to former President Abdullah Yameen who had said before that he had created many jobs during his 5-year regime.
President Solih said that if any thing have been done for Noonu Atoll, it had been done by himself, MDA President Ahmed Siyam, and MDA Vice President Ali Mauroof.
He further said that the Atoll had a bright future with many developmental changes to come and added that the support from the residents of the Atolls is now evident during the tour of the central Atoll.
Touching specifically on Landhoo, the President said that he knew how much the island was neglected when he first came into power and that today most of the basic services were available from the island.
