MDP Presidential Candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announces that the RTL Ferry services would begin in Noonu Atoll within the next three months and that it would bring mega changes to the Atoll.
He made the announcement while speaking at a campaign rally in Noonu Atoll Lhohi during the tour of the Atoll today.
The President noted that under his administration, MTCC was developing the island's harbor to make the island more accessible.
President Solih said that RTL ferry services have begun in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll as well as the Northern Atolls and that next it would begin in Noonu Atoll.
He detailed that ferries required to kick off the service are now being commissioned and that the aim is to begin the services within the next three months.
The President added that the RTL service would bring immense developmental changes to the Atoll.
In his speech, the President also reiterated some pledges he made for the people of Lholi including protecting the eroded area on its beach and developing a separate beach for tourists.
He also said that his administration would make the island's health center a 24-hour service facility and that it would also develop a laboratary at the center.
