Urbanco has warned the public about any scams which are related to the 'Binveriya' housing scheme.
This comes a day after the government released the preliminary list of land plot recipients for the 'Binveriya' Housing Scheme.
Urbanco said that the corporation is not involved in any transaction related to the 'Binveriya' scheme or the scheme that offers flats in the Male' area.
It reminded the public that the corporation would not make any calls regarding the housing schemes or send any links for payment to any recipients.
Recently, scammers have used the guise of Urbanco (then HDC) to send text messages and payment links relating to housing schemes and have scammed some out of thousands of Rufiya.
The list released yesterday includes 10,314 recipients, including people who applied jointly and as separate individuals who would receive land plots under the scheme.
The public can raise complaints or inquiries about the list from today until July 15, 2023, through the 'Gedhoruverin Portal.'
