President of PNC Abdul Rahman Abdullah (Adhurey) says the opposition is now preparing to take over the government and would continue to work on holding the current administration accountable for its actions.
He made the comments while speaking at a party gathering held last night.
Adhurey said that the opposition is not sleeping but is watchful of the actions of this administration.
He said that the country would see what the opposition is doing to hold the administration accountable in the near future.
The PNC President said that the opposition is working on unraveling the corruption within the current government and that the government organization cannot stay silent forever.
Adhurey said that the Presidential Election scheduled for 9th September would be the last day of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
His comments came after the opposition got a resounding victory in the by-elections held in the country. While elections were held in 8 islands to elect members to its Women Development Committees, the Opposition won 5 of those seats.
