Police say the dead body found in Hulhumale' is believed to a foreigner reported missing earlier this month.
They said that deceased is a male and that his body was decomposed.
Police said that they have been unable to confirm the identity of the deceased. However, the investigation has so far found some evidence that it is the foreigner who has been missing since the 21st of this month.
Police added that they were working to confirm the man's identity.
The body was found in the lot released to develop a water park in Phase 1 of Hulhumale'.
