Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been arrested by the military.
Local broadcaster Geo TV reported Khan was taken into custody at a court in Islamabad in a corruption case.
A Reuters witness said shortly after Khan entered the gate of the Islamabad High Court, contingents of paramilitary forces and armored personnel carriers entered after him.
The witness added that the gate was blocked by the armored vehicles while Khan was whisked away shortly after under heavy security.
However, this has not been confirmed by the Pakistani government or the country's military.
Video on social media shows Imran Khan being dragged to a military vehicle surrounded by a crowd of soldiers in heavy military gear.
