Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed says Addu City has a bright and prosperous future ahead of itself.
Nasheed said this while speaking to reporters after the seminar held last night at Thinadhoo Campus of Maldives National University.
He said that he is visiting Addu City as someone who deeply loves the City.
Nasheed said that he wishes more services were available in Addu City but the residents of the City need not worry about its future yet.
He noted that authorities should establish more ways for residents to find income and that developing ports would not create job opportunities.
Nasheed added that MDP was working to include ways to generate more income in the future.
He highlighted that many developmental waves would go around these ways and that Addu City is a city with a bright and prosperous future.
