Maldives Inland Revenue Authority MIRA says it would disclose the names of the taxpayers in default this month.

The Authority said in an announcement today that these taxpayers include those who have failed to file their Goods and Services Taxes, Green Taxes, as well as Withholding Taxes until last year.

It added that these include those who haven't submitted their tax statements as well as not paid their taxes and that their names would be disclosed later this month.

Mira said that it would continue to disclose the names of those who haven't paid their different types of taxes as per guidelines.

It further said that it would disclose the names of those who haven't submitted their Income Tax statements or paid their Income Taxes for last year next month.

The Tax authority assured that it has triggered its enforcement policies to retrieve taxes and other payments due to the government and urged those who have yet to file their taxes to do so as soon as possible.
