Health Protection Agency HPA has begun administering the 4th dose (2nd booster dose) of the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals above 18 years of age.
HPA said that it began giving the 4th dose of the COVID vaccine to those above 18 today. It also said that only those who have received the 3rd dose of the vaccine (1st booster dose) of the vaccine can receive the 4th dose and that they too should have completed 4 months after receiving the 1st booster dose.
The Agency said that a dose of the Pfizer vaccine would be administered as the 2nd booster dose and that in the Greater Male' Area the vaccine would be administered on an appointment basis.
It said that health centers and hospitals in the islands would announce vaccine arrangements in the islands.
HPA also said those above 12 who have yet to complete the first and 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine would now be able to do so at the vaccination centers.

- Hulhumale Hospita-From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Sun, Tue, and Thur)
- Dhamanaveshi- From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Every day except government holidays)
