Health Protection Agency HPA has reestablished 2 flu clinics and 3 vaccination centers in the Greater Male' Area amid the increasing number of COVID-19 cases nationwide.
HPA said that flu clinic services would resume at Hulhumale' hospital and that the clinic would be open from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
It also said that a flu clinic has been established in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital IGMH and that it would be open from 08:00 am to 11:00 pm every day.
Meanwhile, HPA said that it had resumed services at three vaccination centers in the Greater Male' Area.
It said that the vaccination center at the Hulhumale' hospital would be open between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
HPA said that the vaccination center established in Dharumavantha hospital would also be open on these days of the week but would be open between 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The vaccination center at Dhamana Veshi would be open every day (except on public holidays) between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
This comes amid an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country with HPA reporting 1,202 new cases of COVID in the country between 19th June and 25th June.
The new cases take the total number of COVID-19 cases reported since March 2020 to a staggering 181,586.
HPA also said that 51 people were admitted to hospitals in the period between 19th June to 25th with 5 COVID deaths confirmed in the week too. A total of 305 people have now succumbed to the pandemic in the Maldives since April 2020.
The Agency had said last week that a total of 405 cases were reported between 12th June to 18th June with 17 new hospital admissions in the period.
