Police have confirmed that a man had been injured in an attack that happened in Thaa Dhiyamigili today.
They said that the Police received a report of the assault earlier this morning from Dhiyamigili.
Police also said that the victim of the assault had been taken to the island's Health Center for treatment.
They identified the victim as a local man while Police also said that they had arrested a local man in connection to the case.
Police added that they were further investigating the case.
Meanwhile, a foreigner was attacked last night in the capital Male'. Police had said that the assault had happened in the junction that connects Kurikeela magu and Chandhanee magu.
Police had arrested a 37-year-old local man in connection to the case.
