A Maldivian reported missing in Sri Lanka has been found dead.
It has been reported that the body of 21-year-old Afham Naseer had been found by Sri Lankan Authorities on the beach near the Dehiwalla railway.
He was found with injuries and it has also been reported that Lankan police have confirmed his identity.
A new report from Sri Lanka has said that another body was found close by and that the body was also discovered with several injuries. The report said that a bloodied knife had also been found from the scene.
The Maldivian Youth had been missing since Friday and a witness who lived also resided in the house Afham had lived in had said to "The Press" that Afham had rushed out at 11:00 pm that night with his laptop.
Maldives Foreign Ministry had confirmed to the local media reports that a Maldivian student had gone missing in Sri Lanka and said the ministry was working with the relevant Sri Lankan authorities.
The ministry also said that two dead bodies had been found, but refrained from confirmed which body was Afham.
