Health Protection Agency HPA has placed three more islands under monitoring as the fear of another massive COVID wave grows.

Today, HPA placed Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhufushi, Lhavniyani Kurendhoo, and Baa Goidhoo under monitoring. They join another 16 islands currently monitoring due to the increased number of COVID cases on the islands.

While Thaa Guraidhoo was placed under monitoring on Friday Haa Alifu Dhihdhoo was placed under monitoring last Thursday.

Meanwhile, HPA placed Kaafu Guriadhoo under monitoring on the 19th of this month along with Baa Eydhafushi.

The list of islands currently under monitoring also includes Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo, Raa Ungoofaru, and Gaafu Dhaalu Gahdhoo which were all placed under monitoring on the 16th of this month.

HPA had placed 4 islands on monitoring on the 14th of this month and these include Baa Dharavandhoo, Dhaalu Bandidhoo, Laamu Gan, and Shaviyani Funadhoo.

While Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaramfaru had been under monitoring from the 9th of this month, Laamu Fonadhoo had been placed under monitoring a day before.

Kaafu Maafushi and Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo had been under monitoring the longest with both placed on the list last December.
