Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali has promised that the 2nd term of the academic year will start for the students of Arabiyya school without interruptions.
She said in a tweet after inspecting the work to convert the old Foreign Minister building to a school for Arabiyya students.
The Minister said that she was very impressed with the relentless work all the teams did and thankful for their combined effort to make this possible.
Education Ministry started the renovation of the building to convert it into a school last month after parents of the school appealed to the authorities voicing concerns about the state of the current building.
The parents also met President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to discuss the matter where the President announced that the government had decided to develop the Old Jamaludeen land plot as the new building for the Arab-medium school.
He further said he would confer with the ministry and relevant authorities to explore avenues to resolve the concerns raised at the meeting.
