President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, First Lady Fazna Ahmed, and the high-level Maldivian delegation currently visiting New York have attended a special dinner hosted by the President of the General Assembly (PGA) Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid.
The President Office said that the dinner was held at the PGA Residence in New York City.
This year, the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), marks a particularly momentous time in Maldives' history in the United Nations (UN), with a Maldivian serving as the PGA for the first time.
The President's Office also said that President Solih will deliver his address at the 76th session of the UNGA on Tuesday, 21st September 2021.
It said that in addition to the General Debate, the President will engage in a number of high-level events and bilateral talks on the sidelines.
