Health Protection Agency HPA says more than 287,590 people have been given both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Maldives.
The Agency revealed last night that up until the 9th of this month, 332, 816 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the country. HPA also said that out of that 287,599 people have now received the 2nd dose of the vaccine in the country.
HPA is currently administering the first and second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and the 2nd dose of the Sinopharm vaccine.
The Agency had set up 6 vaccination centers and 3 mobile teams in the Greater Male' Area while it had set up 176 vaccination centers in the Atolls.
Meanwhile, HPA reminded the public yesterday that vaccination centers administering the AstraZeneca vaccine in Greater Malé Area are now open for walk-in vaccination.
HPA said however that people with pre-booked appointments will be given priority.
