Health Protection Agency HPA says more than 182,000 have completed both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as the inoculation drive continues in the Maldives.
HPA said that a total of 315,156 people in the Maldives have now received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. It said that out of this 182,715 people have now received both doses of the vaccine.
The Agency had said that on Saturday a total of 244 people had received the first dose of the COVID vaccine in the Maldives and that this includes 60 from the Greater Male' Area and 184 from the Atolls.
HPA also said that on Saturday 685 had received 2nd dose of the COVID-19 and that this includes 303 from the capital city and 382 from the Atolls.
The inoculation drive continues on as the Maldivian Food and Drug Authority yesterday approved the AstraZeneca vaccine for emergency use in the Maldives
. This is the 7th Vaccine approved in the Maldives.
