Education Ministry says Kindergarten schools in the Greater Male' Area are now allowed to hold physical classes for Nursery and Baby Nursery students.

The Ministry had said before starting the 1st of April, students from LKG and above would be allowed to attend physical classes in the Greater Male' Area.

However, in a statement last night, the Ministry said that as the Health Protection Agency had allowed physical classes for these grades, schools have been given permission to start classes for their Nursery and Baby Nursery students.

HPA had on Thursday eased several restrictive measures it had taken in the greater Male' Area and this includes reopening daycares and nurseries in the city.

HPA had also lifted the ban on physical classes for university and college students and said that the curfew in the greater Male area had also now been lifted.

The Agency had eased the restrictions in the Greater Male' Area at a time where the number of daily cases reported in the Area still remained high.

In the past seven days, HPA had confirmed 516 new cases in the capital city although the daily cases reported in the area had been below 100 on all those days.
