Maldives has received the COVID-19 vaccine from both India and China along with another generous donor.
India had first donated 100,000 doses of its own covisheild vaccine back in January and pledged a further 100,000 last month. Both the batches have arrived in the Maldives.
China had also initially pledged 100,000 doses of COVID vaccine and had last week announced the donation of another 100,000 doses of the vaccine.
The Government of the Maldives aims to immunize the country's whole population against the devastating pandemic within three months.
