Vice President Faisal Naseem says pupils lost valuable time from their academic year due to Covid-19 and that we must strive to recover the lost time within the upcoming year.
He made the comments while speaking at the closing ceremony of the Virtual National Quran Competition 2020. It was held at the Islamic Centre, with several award winners joining online to receive their awards.
Vice President urged parents and guardians to put in extra effort to help their children in achieving this target.
The Vice President presented awards and certificates to first- and second-prize winners and five individuals who memorized the Holy Quran.
The ‘Virtual National Quran Competition 2020’ was the first held virtually, with contestants joining remotely from across the Maldives and abroad.
