Male’ Water and Sewerage Company MWSC has entered into a contract with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for the Construction of Water and Sewerage facilities in 15 islands and Water facilities in 5 islands under contractor finance basis.
MWSC said Under this contract, the water and sewerage facility in 15 islands is expected to be completed within 540 days after project commencement.
It also said that the water facility in 5 islands is expected to be completed within 450 days from the work commencement date.
The cost of these projects is around MVR 1.3 billion.
Director General at the Planning Ministry Fathimath Shaana Faarooq signed the contract on behalf of the government while MWSC Managing Director Hassan Shah signed the contract agreement on behalf of the company.
