A boat traveling from Haa Dhaalu Atoll Kulhudhuffushi to Kurinbi of the same atoll has capsized with 3 aboard the vessel.

Speaking to ‘The Press’, President of Kurinbi Council Mohamed Afrah said the vessel had been carrying supplies from the island city of Kulhudhuffushi and had capsized at off the coast of Kurinbi.

He also said that 2 men and 1 woman had been traveling aboard the boat when it overturned and that all three had been picked up another vessel from the island. He confirmed that all three were unharmed in the accident.

Although the accident did not injure anyone, almost all the supplies loaded onto the vessel had been swept away by the sea.

Reports have speculated that the vessel overturned due to bad weather.
