Anti-Corruption Commission ACC says it is probing 22 allegations of corruption made against the utility company Fenaka Corporation.
A media official from ACC said that a total of 28 allegations of corruption has been made against the utility company and that ACC would further investigate 22 of those allegations.
The official clarified that these allegations were reduced as the commission had decided to combine several allegations and then probe them for misconduct.
The allegations have been made by the employees of Fenaka.
They have submitted corruption-related allegations concerning the company dating back to last year and also instances from this year that can be seen as corrupt acts.
ACC said these allegations relate to employment issues as well as procurement issues.
This is the first time these many allegations were made against Fenaka since the current coalition government came into power.
Allegations of corruption have been made against the company during previous administrations and ACC has also probed such allegations before.
