Male Water and Sewerage Company MWSC says 72 of its staff have been awarded flats under its housing scheme.

Speaking at a press conference held by the company today, MWSC Managing Director Hassan Shahu said the company had evaluated the application forms of the 72 staff who applied for the housing units awarded by MWSC and can now confirm that all 72 would be given a housing unit.

He said the 72 staff had applied for 2 rooms and 3 room apartments that are under construction by the utility company.

Shahu said more staff have the opportunity to apply for housing units.

MWSC is set to build two 15 story towers with 384 apartments.

Shahu said structural work on the tower was now complete and that masonry work of the tower was now on-going.

He added that between 55 percent to 60 percent of the tower was now complete and that the tower was located at a strategic site in Hulhumale’ Second Phase.

Shahu also assured that the housing units were spacious and comfortable apartments.
