Police have confirmed that a policeman’s motorbike had been set on fire in Gaafu Dhaalu Thindhoo earlier this week and that 3 individuals have been arrested in relation to the incident.
Police said that the incident occurred at 08: 55 am on the 15th of this month and the vehicle was set ablaze after being moved to the islands west side beach while the bike was parked in a zone outside the policeman’s house.
Police said because of the fire the vehicle is beyond repair.
Police also said in relation to this case a 26-year-old local man had been arrested yesterday under a court order and two others were also arrested today regarding this incident. Police said that this included a 22-year-old and an 18-year-old.
