Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) orders temporary halt on takeaway and delivery services from restaurants and cafe's after 22:00hrs every evening.

The authority's decision to place intervention on business as such comes among state's decision to place new restrictive measures effective across Greater Male' Region in light of spiking Covid-19 positive cases.

Following government's decision to lift-off restrictive measures amid lockdown, restaurants and cafeterias along with similar food and beverage service outlets were permitted to operate under conventional business hours, though with an earlier closing hour.

Businesses providing takeaway and delivery services were permitted to operate beyond 22:00hrs following the ease on restrictive measures.

However with the recent spike on Covid-19 positive cases, government's decision to place curfew once again comes with a halt on delivery and takeaway services as well.

Health authorities report surge in positive cases in recent weeks with the highest 24-hour window case figure recorded at 215.

As of now, the island nation reports over 4,200 positive cases inclusive of recoveries and active cases. Ministry of Health reports over 1,500 active cases and over 2,600 recoveries.
