Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) will be resuming their OPD services under the phase-2 of lifting lockdown restrictions.

However, the hospital noted that visitations to patients still remain restricted despite commencement of services.

Moreover, IGMH notes though their services in OPD will be resuming, the dangers of the Covid-19 virus have not been alleviated.

Furthermore, it has stated that several procedures during the lockdown will remain in effect despite the ease.

Among the procedures that will remain in effect despite the lockdown ease, are:

  • Visitations to patients admitted in general or special wards
  • Only one helper allowed near patients admitted in wards
  • Children are not allowed within hospital premises with the only exception of consultation
  • Temporary halt on pre-planned routine operations
  • Proper screening of individuals visiting the hospital over ailments such as cold, for symptoms of Covid-19

The hospital commented their OPD services are resuming as it identifies providing consultation for other ailments remain as necessary as combatting other viral or any kind of diseases.

Furthermore, IGMH affirmed their online consultation services will remain effective without any halt.
