Health Ministry says children would be allowed to go outside in the evenings when the new lockdown eases take effect on the 15th of June.
Speaking to the media on the new eases, Assistant Director at the Ministry Aminath Shaina Abdullah said that children would be allowed to go out between 4 pm to 6 pm every day starting next Monday.
She also said that adults must accompany the children if they are going out during this time.
Shaina also said that public spaces and parks would be reopened starting from the 15th of June but warned that there should not be gatherings of more than 3 people in any public space or place. She added that house visits and family gatherings are still not allowed even with the new eases.
Shaina advised that individuals must maintain physical distancing and must keep practicing hand sanitizing and washing in all activities and public spaces.
Health experts have recommended that individuals should wear masks in closed spaces and that children below 2 years of age should not wear masks for safety reasons.
