Health authorities have attested one more patient from Maldives who contracted the viral disease has made a recovery.

Earlier, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez, the official spokesperson of the matter, confirmed 10 individuals have been reported on Saturday of making recovery from the disease.

The confirmation was made during the press briefing at National Emergency Operations Center on Saturday evening.

On Friday, it was confirmed 04 indviduals had made recoveries while on 14 May 8 patients recovered from the disease. Health Protection Agency confirmed all recoveries were Maldivian locals.

As of now the total recoveries from Maldives stand at 59, however an additional batch of 47 new virus positive cases were reported on the same day.

Meanwhile the total number of confirmed cases in Maldives have risen to 1078. There have been only 4 deaths reported so far with regards to the virus - which included 3 elderly Maldivian citizens and one middle-aged expat.
