National Emergency Operations Center says 6 Covid-19 patients are being treated in the intensive Care Unit ICU of Dharumavantha hospital 11th floor DH11.

The center said this includes five Males and 1 female patient.

Five of the Covid-19 patients currently in ICU are locals while a Pakistani national also remains in the ICU.

Updating the media on their condition, HPA’s Dr. Afzal said two of the 6 patients are currently on oxygen support and that all are currently stable.

Officials have confirmed that the husband of the deceased Covid-19 patient case 280 has also been admitted to the ICU after being tested positive for Covid-19.

Case 280, the first Covid-19 patient to die in the country, was an 83-year-old woman who passed away on Wednesday evening having contracted the contagious illness earlier this month. She was declared positive for Covid-19 postmortem.

HPA had confirmed that 119 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24hrs taking the total number of cases to a staggering 396.
