Health Ministry confirms six more individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives today.

Latest update on the Ministry’s Covid-19 dashboard read that five Maldivians and 1 Pakistani national had tested positive for Covid-19 today.

Today’s cases take the total number of positive cases in the country to 256.

104 locals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country, most of them from the Greater Male’ Area.

152 Foreigners have also tested positive for the highly contagious virus with 115 Bangladeshi nationals. 17 indians, 3 pakistanis and 2 Sri Lankans have also tested positive for Covid-19 in the country.

Government has been taking several measures to deter the rapidly spreading Covid-19 virus in the country. Earlier, HPA announced that it would extend the lockdown of Male’ Area for an additional 14 days.
