National Airline Maldivian says its Freighter from Dubai has arrived with 5 tons of goods.
In a tweet, Maldivian confirmed that the freighter carrying 5 tons of goods from Dubai landed in Velaana International Airport last night.
Maldivian also said the cargo contained mostly medical supplies required for the fight against Covid-19.
The National Carrier had already transported goods from several countries including Sri Lanka, Thailand and UAE.
Global Pandemic Covid-19 has disrupted supply lines across the globe with local businesses desperate for imports.
Like the tourism and aviation sector, import and export industry is also expected to take a direct hit from the Covid-19 pandemic.
