Health Protection Agency HPA says samples taken from two Maldivian nationals have tested positive for Covid-19.

In a tweet, HPA said both the individuals were direct contacts of case 23.

HPA said both the individuals who were being quarantined will now be moved to an isolation facility.

As of now 5 Maldivians have tested positive for Covid-19 in Male' in the space of three days.

HPA had earlier extended the lockdown down of Male' area to an additional 24hrs.

HPA has now ordered strict measures to combat against Covid-19 across the nation with social gathering now banned in the atolls as well.
