Maldives Police Service confirms the suspects apprehended for assaulting an expatriate worker at Raa atoll Innamaadhoo.
Local authorities confirm they received the report of two locals from the island assaulting an expat worker dispatched at installing the sewerage system.
Moreover, authorities confirm the victimized worker had received several bruises, and cuts on his nose and a swelling on his left eye. Police additionally reported, the victim has been identified as a 28 year Bangladeshi national.
Authorities further commented that police arrested a 48 year old local male and a 38 year old local male under a court order.
The assault suspects were let go on Sunday, from Innamaadhoo magistrate court after they were summoned for remand hearing.
