Health Protection Agency HPA says a sample will be taken from a Maldivian in V. Keyodhoo.
Speaking to the media, official spokesperson for covid-19 updates Mr. Mabrouk Azeez said, the sample will be taken as the individual showed symptoms of the covid-19 virus.
He added that the island is currently under monitoring.
According to sources, the individual had come in contact with a person who had returned back from the UK.
Till now, four Maldivians have tested positive for the virus, all of them having returned from the UK where the virus is rampant.
Authorities are now testing and contact screening all the individuals who came back from the UK between 14th and 19th of March.
