Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has a videoconference with all diplomatic heads of missions.
In a tweet, Minister said he had the videoconference with the diplomatic heads of mission to get updates on the situation of Maldivians in their respective host countries.
Minsiter Shahid said requested them to spare no efforts to assist fellow Maldivians stranded abroad due to Covid-19 crisis despite many challenges.
Speaking about this videoconference, Director of communication Miuvan Mohamed said although the Minister called all the mission heads at the same time yesterday, he made daily calls to each mission separately. Miuvan said the Minister had discussions on the work to continue consular services at each mission.
Miuvan also said Minister Shahid was working with Foreign Ministers of different countries to inquire about the Maldivians stranded in these countries amid the Covid-19 crisis.
