Health Protection Agency HPA says it is testing a foreign national from Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives resort having developed Covid-19 like symptoms.
In a tweet HPA said that the individual has been placed under home-isolation.
It added that the resort is currently under monitoring.
Thirteen people have so far tested positive here in Maldives but no Maldivian have yet contracted the highly contagious yet.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced yesterday that three more patients who previously tested positive for the virus have now recovered.
With this 8 patients have now been declared free of the deadly virus.
Government has assured that it will prioritize the fight against Covid-19 above all at time and will take all necessary measures.
