Health Protection Agency HPA says 724 samples taken have tested negative for Covid-19 and is awaiting results for 8 more samples.
Speaking to the media, Official spokesperson for Covid-19 Mr. Mabrouk Azeez said 124 people have been tested for the deadly virus but results for 8 people is still pending.
He said a total of 745 samples have so far been tested and that these include samples taken more than once from the same person.
The government had earlier decided to quarantine all arrivals into the country with exemption of tourists and is working to set-up more quarantine and isolation facilities.
Thirteen people have tested positive for Covid-19 here in the Maldives with five now declared cured of the highly contagious virus.
