MWSC installs hand washing basins in three areas across Male’ City as part of their efforts to prevent further spread of Covid-19 in Maldives.
The washing basins, open for public use, are located near the local market, fish market and Villimale Ferry terminal.
In a tweet, MWSC said they installed the basins to encourage the public to practice frequent hand washing for better hygiene.
Experts have said repeatedly that one of the most effective ways to prevent further spread of the global pandemic is to washing hands regularly and maintaining hygiene.
Some Island councils across the country have also installed basins to encourage hand washing.
