Outspoken lawmaker Abdullah Jabir comments the state's functioning will pick its speed once the Maldives President is cleared from the 'confusions' he faces.

The prominent lawmaker's comments have come at a time when the ruling party opponents and the public have drawn criticism on incumbent President for sluggish socio-economic development of the country.

Ruling party opponents have cast strong lambastes on the state for its evident lack of speed in countering a local pro-democracy network for releasing a publication with anti-Islamic notions and provocations.

Speaking to local media 'The Press', the outspoken Kaashidhoo constituency lawmaker notes that though the incumbent head of state faced challenges during the initial years of his presidency, such matters have been met with substantial fixes and solutions.

Moreover, the parliamentarian commended the perserverance of the current President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, adding he was better equipped with his presidential obligations.

According to Jabir, the Maldivian head of state had run into a few complications with overall state administration due to retrospective issues (i.e. residual effects from the previous regime) which had to be neutered accordingly for swifter governance.

Meanwhile the lawmaker praised President Solih for his efforts in ridding the state from corruption and malpractices of state institutions.

MP Jabir on Wednesday, had met with Maldives President to discuss various matters of importance which according to the lawmaker concluded on pleasant notes.
