The Chairperson of Male' Water and Sewerage Company Ltd, MWSC, Shamhooza Ahmed, has been dismissed from her post.
The Privatization and Corporization Board, PCB, confirmed her dismissal. The PCB said that Shamhooza has been removed from the board of directors of the company
The PCB did not give a reason for her dismissal. However, the government is implementing sweeping changes to the leadership of multiple state-owned companies to enhance productivity and performance further.
Shamhooza was appointed as the Chairperson of MWSC under this administration.
She is an educated and experienced person who has worked in various government institutions in the past.
