The former Maldives Disability Ambassador Ahmed Hishan has received a no-fly order by local authorities.

Although Maldives Police Service has confirmed the former Disability Ambassador was slapped with a no fly order, there have been no further details disclosed regarding the matter.

The humanitarian, Ahmed Hishan, who has been at the forefront of providing assistance for physically and mentally handicapped individuals, fell into controversy after claims of sexual misconduct against him surfaced.

Following several claims, the humanitarian was summoned to local police on last Friday, 31 January 2020.

Though it was strongly suggested he was summoned to police for questioning, authorities did not reveal the exact nature of the matter for which Hishan was required to attend the law enforcement body.

Moreover, some local reports further claim Hishan was held off from boarding an international flight enroute to Sri Lanka.

Recently several posts on social media platforms regarding alleged sexual misconduct by the humanitarian towards minors, have gone viral.
