Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has confirmed the comprehensive analysis and the report on minimum wage has been presented to him.
In a tweet the Maldives head of state has confirmed the special advisory team on minimum wage in the country had completed the report and presented their findings.
Moreover, President Solih confirms the report will be presented to his cabinet in the coming week for discussions.
While the Maldives Parliament members are working on first drafts of a minimum wage bill, a special advisory board was formed to instruct the Maldives Minister of Economic Development regarding the matter.
The Minimum Wage Board, under Maldives Employment Act is mandated through the President.
Minimum wage, was among the major pledges by the incumbent President during his campaign.
