Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed says the government is working to lower the cost of the Hajj pilgrimage to strengthen the Hajj system further.

Speaking on the "Ask" forum last night, Minister Saeed said that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu prioritized strengthening the Hajj System.

He said that the Hajj Corporation is working on ways to lower the cost of the Hajj Pilgrimage as per the guidance of President Muizzu. The Minister added that he believed these efforts would be fruitful.

The Minister shed light on the ways the government is working to alleviate the concerns of the people with more than 9,000 people registered on Hajj Corporation's queue.

The minister said the rules will be changed to give priority to new pilgrims from this year. He said the President has decided to make four changes to the rules for taking people to Hajj.
