Authorities in the Maldives have withheld the licenses of three launch captains after a video showing a launch race went viral in the country.
The video which was circulated on Saturday showed two launches racing at a high and dangerous speed to enter the lagoon of an island.
Police said in a statement today that the licenses of the three captains have been temporarily withheld in connection with the dangerous launch riding case.
They also said that the transport ministry will decide on the action to be taken in the case.
The public has also expressed concern over the dangerous driving of the launcher. They called for the withholding of licenses of such persons and for strict action against them.
