Police say they have arrested two individuals in the case of a man being found in a guest house room in Male' with serious wounds earlier this week.
The wounded man was found in a guest house room in Male' on the 9th of this month and was rushed to the hospital where he was treated in the ICU.
Police said today that two men have been arrested in this case and that they were arrested yesterday.
They identified the suspects as 23-year-old Fauzan Zareer from Kaafu Thulusdhoo and 23-year-old Maazin Ibrahim from Male'. The duo were arrested for allegedly assaulting the victim in the guest house.
Police said that when the suspects were taken for their remand hearings, the Criminal Court ruled that they be kept under custody till the end of their trials.
They said they are further investigating the case.
The victim of the assault is still being treated in the ICU.
