Maldives strongly condemns the Israeli bombing of the Al-Tabi’in School in Gaza City, which has led to the massacre of over a hundred displaced Palestinians, who had been forced to take shelter at the school.

In a statement, the Maldivian foreign Ministry said that such genocidal actions targeting civilians, including children, is a clear breach of the fundamental principles of international law and international humanitarian law; and 2610 resolution of the UN Security Council.

The Minister further said that the Maldives reiterates its call upon the international community to take decisive measures to stop these attacks on innocent civilians and work towards achieving lasting peace for the people of Palestine.

It also said that the Maldives remain resolute in supporting the people of Palestine in their legitimate pursuit to attain their inalienable rights, including the right to self-determination and Statehood.
