The Israeli foreign Minister has advised Israelis including Israeli passport holders to avoid traveling to the Maldives following the government's decision to ban Israeli passport holders.
Yesterday, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusan announced the cabinet's decision to amend existing laws and ban Israeli passport holders from entering the Maldives because of its aggressive and genocidal military campaign in Gaza since last October.
The government has also said that it would kick off a nationwide fundraising campaign for Palestine and hold protests in solidarity with Palestine across the country while also taking a leadership role in the international arena for the Palestinian cause.
The decision from the government attracted media attention from across the world with international media outlets reporting the decision to ban Israeli passport holders.
Israeli Foreign Ministry yesterday issued a travel warning urging Israelis and Israeli passport holders to avoid traveling to the Maldives. It also urged Israelis currently in the Maldives to leave the island nation saying it would be difficult to assist them if they find themselves in distress for any reason.
