Three individuals are currently under treatment after being electrocuted by a street lamp in Raa Atoll Ungoofaaru.
Senior Customer Relations Officer of Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital Hassan Fazeel confirmed to the press that the three individuals were brought into the hospital around 13:40 this afternoon.
He said that the electrocution victims included 2 children and an adult. He further confirmed that the children include a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy.
Fazeel also said that the man was 18 years of age and that the three were being treated at the Emergency Room ER of the hospital.
A source close to the incident said that the children and the adult got electrocuted while playing near Ungoofaaru Park. The Source said that they might have touched a street lamp near the area which had been damaged in the recent bad weather.
